Futako Tamagawa – called Nikotama by locals – has a lot of place to eat! There are restaurants for family, girl’s night, dinner, lunch, cute cafe, etc.
Here are some recommendation from me who’ve been to Futakotamagawa since I was a little girl.
Sumi Tora – Yakitori Restaurant for Dinner
Sumitora is my favorite Yakitori restaurant in Futakotamagawa. It might be a bit difficult to find, but it’s located in “Yanagikoji” behind Takashimaya. Probably 5-10 minutes from Futako Tamagawa station in the Tokyu Denentoshi Line / Oimachi Line.
Once you go inside, you can see the staff grilling Yakitori which smells so good! There are counter seats, tables, etc. I recommend making a reservation if possible.
They serve the chicken that they cut, stick, and cook on the day.
Megane Shokudo A La Gri – French bistro
Walking for 5 mins or so from Futakotamagawa station, you can find Megane Shokudo. Their lunch is great, that you can choose appetizer, main, and drink.
Reservation recommended.
Cafe Lisette – Cute Cafe Behind Takashimaya
A very cute cafe, Lisette Cafe is located in Yanagikoji, Futakotamagawa. You might find a line there.
You can see what they have in the showcase. I choose the scone and tea, that I enjoyed a lot. My husband had a carrot cake, which he liked.
Chicama Cafe – Italian Restaurant
Chicama cafe is an Italian restaurant very close to Futako Tamagawa station. The atmosphere is very nice with some greens. They open the balcony seats when it’s nice weather.
They have some kinds of pasta, and their pasta is very fresh and chewy!
Green House by Mercer Brunch – Takashimaya
Green House by Mercer Brunch at Tamagawa Takashimaya. Their French Toast is popular, that is very fluffy! I like their lunch, which you can choose the main that comes with appetizer and French Toast.
I recommend making a reservation or going early.
Ron Harman Cafe – a good place with kids
There is a Ron Harman building that you can enjoy shopping and dining-in. Ron Herman is a clothing brand from L.A.
At the restaurant, you will find some western food that you rarely find in Japan.
It’s very kids-friendly. They have kids menu and chairs for kid. I didn’t take my baby yet because he is still small, but I’d like to take him once he can eat some food.
100 Spoons – Best Restaurant for Babies
100 Spoons is highly recommended to a mom/dad/parent with babies! They have 3 kinds of weaning food. You can ask it for free!!
It’s a good place not only for kids, but also parents too. The picture above is called “Big Small Plate” which I enjoyed well.
I often see a long line, so it’s better making a reservation!
Mallorca – Spanish Restaurant
The Spanish restaurant “Mallorca” is located on the RISE. Their lunch menu is pretty nice!
Cafe Soul Tree – A Hidden Cafe in Residential Area
After 20 minutes of walking from the station, you will get this cafe, Soultree. It’s in the residential area where is quiet. It’s renovated building.
They have casual food on the menu, I had a hamburger. The dessert is also good! The cheese cake is good, and the charcoal cream puff is also great.
Futakotamagawa is a fun place for hanging out! You will find good places for brunch, lunch, dinner, with kids, alone, family, etc.
