Flour + Water – Great Bread and Hot Tea
If you like flour, Flour + Water is the place to go in Nakameguro!
You can choose,
- 4 breads per person from a basket that staff would bring to your table
- salad or soup or dessert
plus, they will serve hot tea every 20 minutes or so.
Donabe Gohan Ikushika – For Rice Lover
Ikushika is a great place to enjoy rice!
I selected Kakuni for main that is pork belly simmered with soy sauce, Sake, Mirin, etc. that comes with rice, miso soup, 2 small side dishes, and Umeboshi (sour pickled plum).
They will bring white rice that is cooked in a clay pot, which makes a big difference!
Huit – Cozy Bistro by Meguro River
If you walk for 5 minutes or so, you will find this cozy bistro, called Huit nearby Meguro river. It’s pretty spacious place. I had nice lunch (appetizer and main), and a tart for dessert too!
Afuri Nakameguro – Yuzu Ramen
Afuri is a Ramen shop that is popular with their Ramen with Yuzu. If you don’t like a heavy Tonkotsu (pork broth) ramen, you can give it a try on this ramen! It’s light and refreshing.

Onibus Coffee – Cafe Time with a Train View
There is a small cafe, Onibus Coffee in Nakameguro. You can have a train view from upstairs. You might not find a seat though, you can get a coffee and walk riverside.
Cafe Cha Dance – Tea time in a Cute Cup
It takes 10 minutes or so from Nakameguro station to Cafe Cha Dance. They have cute cups that are displayed. They sell cups, too.
I had a Matcha pudding that is great.
I’m donut? Nakameguro – Popular Donut Shop
You might hear / see I’m donut? before, if you’ve looked for some popular donuts.
Their donut is pretty famous as I found a long line at 8:45 which is 15 minutes earlier than their opening time. It’s only to-go, not dine-in.
It was easy to buy donuts because they gave me a paper to fill in. You can pay with Paypay and cash as of April 2025.
I bought 5 kinds of donuts ; Plane, French cruller, Chocolate, Custard, and Matcha mascarpone. My favorite was Chocolate!
Starbucks Reserve Roastery Tokyo
It’s very popular though, I also mention just in case. Starbucks Reserve Roastery Tokyo is located by the Meguro River. You will have a river view.
in Spring, you will have a great Cherry blossom view! For Sakura season, there are very long line to get in. You will get a ticket and wait.
I was amazed how great this place was! They have many sections, terrace, counter, many kinds of tables, etc. Ad same as other Starbucks Roastery, there are some items that are only sold here in Tokyo too.
Noted that many restaurants have different menu and/or limited menu in Sakura season. You can enjoy Sakura, of course, also food at great restaurants and cafes in Nakameguro.
