Sakura – cherry blossom is so beautiful in Japan, and I would highly recommend you to go see if you visit Japan in Spring. Here are places where you can enjoy a beautiful sakura view!
Shinjuku Gyoen
Shinjuku Gyoen might be the most convenient place to go if you are a tourist.
It is located in Shinjuku but a big park with much nature as you cannot believe that you are in noisy and shiny Shinjuku area.

- No alcohol

- 3-5 mins from Shinjuku Gyoen Sta. (Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line)
- 10 mins from Shinjuku 3 cho-me Sta. (Tokyo Metro Marunouchi / Toei Shinjuku)
- 15-20 mins from Shinjuku Sta. (JR / Tokyo Metro Marunouchi/ Toei Shinjuku)
Ueno Park
Ueno park is one of popular place for sakura. Many people go have a picnic in spring.

Meguro Riverside
You can walk the riverside, my favorite route is from Ikejiri to Naka-meguro.
Also if you don’t want to walk, this is very close to Nakameguro station. You can get some food/beverage from food venders on the riverside (Food venders are opened temporary in the cherry blossom season), or you can also go to the restaurant/cafe on riverside and then you can enjoy your time with sakura view!

- Hard to find a bathroom unless going inside of restaurant/cafe.
- Unable to sit down on the ground

- Ikejiri Ohashi Sta. (Tokyu Denentoshi Line)
Chidorigafuchi
It is northwest side of Imperial Palace. You can walk the sidewalk called “Chidorigafuchi Ryokudo” which length 700m.
You can also get a boat if you want.
There is Chidorigafuchi Park nearby to have a picnic If you want.

Hanzomon Sta. (Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Line)
Rikugien
If you want to enjoy Japanese Garden, Rikugien is the place for you. This garden was made in 1695, and you can enjoy cherry blossom in spring.
There is also a tea house where you can have a cup of Matcha and “Wagashi” (Japanese sweet).
