Onomichi Ramen Tani – Hiroshima Local Ramen
Onomichi Ramen Tani is located is 1 min (maybe 30 seconds) from the JR Onomichi station.
Hiroshima Local Ramen
Onomichi ramen is a Shoyu (soy sauce) based ramen. Ramen Tani makes their soup with fish broth and soy sauce, also they put chicken and pork broth. Their Chashu (pork) takes 3 days to be made.
It looks greasy because there are back fat floating on the soup, but mild and not heavy, surprisingly.

Karasawa Handmade Ice Cream – Local Business
Karasawa Handmade Ice Cream is literally making ice cream, their shop is located nearby the ocean. Their ice cream was on the TV drama named “Teppan” in 2010. I enjoyed their “Ice Monaka” sitting down on the oceanside.
They also have some drinks to go. Lemon squash looks good..! I’d try next time🥤🍋
Tamago Ice Cream
Their ice cream is french style ice cream which is called “glace” or “glace aux oeufs” using a lot of eggs. (Egg = Tamago in Japanese).
Ice Monaka – Ice Cream in Wafer
They put ice cream in the wafer after you order, so you can enjoy the crispness of wafer.
There are other ice cream flavors depending on season, I’d like to go there again and try different flavor next time!

Onomichi Roman Coffee – Onomichi Born Cafe
Onomichi Roman Coffee has multiple locations in Hiroshima, but this one in Onomichi is the main branch.
A Cup of Coffee by Siphon
Do you drink/make a coffee with a siphon? I don’t.. Also I don’t even remember when was the last time I had one like that.. They serve coffee that made by siphon. It takes time, but it feels luxury.

Bakery Koro – Popular Shop on the Shopping Street
I highly recommend this bakery called Koro (kouro) which is located on the Onomichi main shopping street. I’d love to go back for their focaccia and bagels! Even if you just pass by Onomichi by bicycle or car, I’d recommend stopping by and grab some here.

For the cranberry x cream cheese, it’s great balanced of sourness from cranberry and mildness from cheese. You will find the chocolate cream in the chocolate bagel.
