Where to Go in Sakura Shinmachi
Sakura Jingu Shrine – Photo spot in Spring
It’s beautiful in spring with Kawazu Zakura which is a cherry blossom that blooms earlier than other kinds.
Sakura Jingu shrine has seasonal Goshuin, which is very cute with Sakura theme in Spring!
Sazae san / Hasegawa Machiko Museum
The author of Anime called Sazae san, Machiko Hasegawa used to live in Sakura Shinmachi. There is a Sazae san Museum and the street is named “Sazae san Street” between Sakura Shinmachi station and Sazae san Museum.
Also, you can find a set of statues in front of the station, too.
Best Cafe & Restaurant in Sakura Shinmachi
Ogawa Coffee Laboratory
You can enjoy coffee + food in a stylish atmosphere. For most of times, you’ll find a line to get in. They have a lot of kinds of coffee, that I always need to take some time to decide. The staffs always help you by explaining and recommending. I love having a coffee in the morning here.

It’s a very popular shop! Ohagi is one of Japanese traditional confectioneries, made from rice + Anko (red bean paste). The reason why Ohagi from this shop is popular is because it’s beautiful! They have seasonal flavors that keep you want to come back!
Bagel & Cafe 10
You can walk 10 mins on the Sazae san Street from Sakurashinmachi station, you’ll find this Bagel shop. They have plane bagels, savory ones and sweet ones. I liked every one of them, Everything, An-Butter sandwich, Basil cheese, cremebururee!
