There are 2 team labs in Tokyo, Team lab borderless and Planet. People get confused and I received a lot of questions so here are my thoughts. FIY, I have been both of them.

Details for Team Lab Planet
It locates on Toyosu area, 1-2 min from Shin-Toyosu station or 10-15 mins from Toyosu station.
It would take 1 – 2 hours to look around, but there is a one-way route which prevent people from being waited.
You need to take off your shoes at entrance, so you will be walking around on your barefoot everywhere in this exhibition.
Details for Team Lab Borderless
It is in Odaiba area, and the closest station is “Aome”.
I would say it takes 3 or more hours to go through every spots in this exhibition. And also you should know it could be waiting time.
You can walk around with your shoes, although you need to take off your heels/sandals for certain spots. So I would recommend you to go in your sneakers if you don’t want to be bothered to take off your heels/sandals.
Planet is better for date
I recommend you to go to Team Lab Borderless if you are planning to go there on a date with your loved one. It is fun to walk and take pictures together! Actually my husband took me there when we were still “boyfriend” and “girlfriend” 🙂
Although, if you are not in relationship yet or you are not sure if that person likes you or not, it might be a little bit awkward to take pictures together. It depends on each person though, so just saying!
Borderless is better with kids
If you have kids, I would highly recommend you to go to Team Lab Borderless! There are many fun things to experience. But you need to know that it might be a line to get each area.
There were many kids when i went, and they enjoyed drawing a picture, jumping, touching balloons, playing at Athletic forest which means there are good attractions that keeps kids having fun!
