Japanese BBQ is one of my favorite meal and I used to go to Japanese BBQ restaurant often when I lived in Japan. I finally found Japanese style BBQ place in Utah, and went to try All You Can Eat at Umami Japanese BBQ in Orem, Utah.
The Best Japanese Restaurant in Utah County
One of my followers taught me this place, and Google says they got an award as the best japanese restaurant in Utah County in 2019!
My husband and I needed to try this restaurant for our craving for Japanese style BBQ.
All You Can Eat
Meat
For All-You-Can-Eat at lunch time, they have New York Strip Steak, Brisket, Pork belly, Gyutan (Cow Tongue), Pork Roast, Jingus Kan (Hokkaido Style Lamb).
Also they have Korean style meat such as Chicken Bulgogi, Spicy Korean Chicken, Spicy Korean Pork Roast, Spicy Korean Pork Belly, Korean Short Rib. I didn’t try them because I can not eat spicy food though, it looked good.
Personally I liked New York Strip Steak, Brisket, Pork belly, and Gyutan (Cow Tongue)!!
Seafood
They had Garlic shrimp, and I thought it was a bit too much seasoned, strong garlic flavor I tasted.
Veggies
Green pepper, Onion, Garlic, Mushrooms, etc. They serve as raw, so you can cook at table.
Side Menu
They also have a lot of side menu food!!
Edamame, Gyoza, Beef curry, Yakisoba, Sushi (imitation crab + avocado), Seaweed salad, Salad, Kimchi, Fruits(pineapple, blueberry, and watermelon)
I had Edamame and Gyoza which were good.
It is very nice that you can enjoy a lot of side menus 🙂
Rice
You can also choose rice between brown rice or white rice.
Sauce
They have 3 kinds of sauce,
- Garlic Soy sauce
- Hokkaido Miso Apple
- Roast sesame
I tried all of them, and I would say “Hokkaido Miso Apple” is the closest taste to Japanese BBQ sauce.

- $17.99 for lunch on weekdays
- $24.99 for dinner on weekdays and all day on weekend

I really like this place! Especially they have a lot of kinds of meat, and side dishes too!
The restaurant is very clean, people are nice and friendly, and good atmosphere 🙂 I’d recommend you to try Japanese style BBQ if you have never tried, and if you had it in Japan too!
I already have gone back to this place! 😉
