Encinitas – located in North San Diego, California – is very cute small town. There is a big street named Coast Highway 101, and there are shops and restaurants around it. I’d love to share some restaurants and cafes where you can have good foods and good vibes!

Lobster West
Highly recommend Lobster West if you like lobster! 💓🦞
I usually order Classic Lobster sandwich, and iced tea for side. There are a lot pieces of lobster on your bread. 🤤
Also I LOVE their lobster bisque, that is very rich taste as you can actually find pieces of lobster inside!! I’d go scoop size, it’s enough for me with sandwich.
The Tacostand
The Tacostand is one of my favorite taco shops in San Diego! They have some shops, i.e. downtown, La Jolla, Encinitas, etc. There is always a big line especially at lunch time and dinner time.
My recommendation from the tacostand is California Burrito that has beef, guacamole, salsa, french fries, sour cream, etc that fills you up! 🌯💓 I also like their Mahi Mahi Tacos and Churros, too. 😊
There are some seats inside, but outside seats are also nice with cute tiles.
Swami’s Cafe
Walking down to Swami beach from Encinitas station, you will find Swami’s Cafe where you can enjoy Californian food and healthy food! They also serve breakfast menu all day long. You can find a lot of surfers in the morning.
People are very nice here, that helps you have a good time too.
The Crack Shack
Do you like fried chickens? If your answer is yes, this is where you should go! The original location is in Little Italy, downtown San Diego, but i usually go to this one in Encinitas. ( I know there are some shops outside San Diego now though, i’d introduce because it’s from San Diego! )
My favorite is Señor Croque which you’ll have a crispy Jidori chicken, bacon, fried egg, cheddar, miso-maple butter, brioche in it! The brioche is so soft, and the fried chicken is crispy outside and juicy& tender inside!! I am sure that this is one of the best chicken sandwiches I’ve ever had 😉

A very popular coffee shop in Encinitas where I find a lot of people all the time when passing by! It’s cute decor inside, and they have original goods to sell, too.
If you like coffee, this is where I’d recommend! 💓
Philz Coffee
This is not “Only San Diego” thing, because it is from San Francisco. But I write here because it is usually very quiet.☕️ I’d go here when I want to do some work done or be in a bit less people.

Gelato 101
This gelato shop called Gelato 101 is a family running business, you can find a long line especially in summer! 💓
It’s very flavorful because they stick with natural ingredients that makes me (and my body) happy too! They also have smoothies, boba drinks, coffee, etc. that you can go with people who want to get different things. 😆
It’s very nice to have some gelatos at terrace seats on beautiful sunny day!
JoJo’s Creamery
JoJo’s Creamery offers you many flavours, you will find your favorite one either you are vegan or not!
